Lost

We are lost,

In this lucrative world of opportunities,

In a place where our dreams come true,

A place where you lose track of reality,

We are lost

Grinding away in our everyday life,

Trying to find meaning,

Hoping that god will send us a sign,

We are lost

Wandering down unknown paths,

Reading through others’ lives,

Looking for some comfort,

We are lost

Keeping up with the times

Where serenity is just a word

And freedom is a lie,

We are lost

Rummaging through our minds

Questioning our sanity

And finally our life

We are lost.

This is a small Poem I wrote for an Assignment we were given in the Photography Course. ‘ Ask your friend to take a candid pic of you, should be in black and white and write something about it’ was the brief.
