Reflection of the Journey at Amal Academy

As my journey at Amal Academy is about to end. I want to discuss here what is the impact of this fellowship in my life as a whole. I will start with a famous quote of Albert Einstein.

What is Amal Academy?

For me Amal Academy is the platform which helped me to know my strengths and weakness and provides me the opportunity to work on the weakness in an environment where no one will judge you. Everyone supports you and help you to grow.

Events

During the fellowship there are so many events which really improved my life.

Live sessions provided me the opportunity to interact with the fellows and to improve my soft skills like communication, leadership and to know the benefits of working as a team.

2. Online Courses and Project Works:

I have completed 20 online courses and almost same number of project works till now and these two helped me to know more about myself. It helped me to know what are my strengths and what are my weaknesses.

3. Professional Development:

Amal Academy not only helped me to improve my soft skills but also provides guidance that how can you make superhero resume and superpower cover letter that stands out. It also provided tips to make Professional LinkedIn profile.

4. One-on-One Session:

One-on-One session provides me the opportunity to discuss the professional problems with my program manager and how to overcome that problems.

5. Mega Project:

Mega part is integral part of the fellowship. It is basically practical application of all the skills which you have developed during your fellowship on a single project.

My Favorite Parts of the Fellowship

Basically I joined the fellowship to work on my soft skills. ALHAMDULILLAH by the grace of Almighty ALLAH. I have improved my soft skills a lot. Following are some of my favorite parts of the fellowship which really had positive impact on my life.

In the online course of leadership I learnt that you can practice leadership even when no one has assigned it to you. Leadership is all about taking responsibility. It really had a positive impact on me and this part really helped me to complete my FYP tasks effectively.

2. PASSENGER Series:

This series of online courses gives in depth knowledge of how you can ace the interview. It helped me realize that even very small things can make the difference. For Example: Keeping a smile on your face can really make you stand out from other candidates and have positive impact on the interviewer.

3. Networking:

This course helped me to realize the importance of networking. The best way to make strong network is to help others. Networking is a two way process i.e. give and take.

Overall I had great experience with my Program Managers and Fellows. I learnt a lot during this 2.5 months journey. This environment really helped me to improve my skills. I really recommend all the professionals to attend this fellowship at least once in your life.
